DRILLING SHIP - CEMENTING UNIT PIPEWORK MODIFICATION

As part of a drilling vessel upgrade project, our team delivered the engineering design package for a new Cement Unit Chemical Additions Line. The project was developed to support future offshore operations by establishing a dedicated piping system for the transfer of chemical additives to the cement unit. All piping was designed in accordance with ASME B31.3 Process Piping requirements, ensuring compliance with recognized industry standards.

A laser scanning survey was carried out onboard to accurately capture the existing conditions and ensure seamless integration of the new piping route with the vessel structure. Based on the scan data, a detailed 3D model was developed, allowing the proposed piping arrangement to be fully verified prior to fabrication and minimizing potential installation issues.

The final engineering package included piping isometric drawings and comprehensive material take-off (MTO) lists required for procurement and fabrication. Using these deliverables, the fabrication contractor successfully manufactured the piping components, providing a complete and fabrication-ready solution for the planned installation works.
