APV SILENCER RELOCATION ENGINEERING
Reference Project; APV SILENCER RELOCATION ENGINEERING
Project Overvıew
As part of an offshore modification project, our team delivered the engineering design package for the relocation of an existing APV silencer system. The project began with a laser scanning survey of the installation area, followed by the development of detailed 3D models of the existing equipment, piping, and supporting steel structure. The scan-based model provided an accurate representation of the as-built conditions and established a reliable foundation for the engineering design.
Based on project requirements, a new support structure and associated piping system were designed to accommodate the relocated silencer arrangement. The proposed modifications were developed and verified using AVEVA E3D, ensuring seamless integration with the existing facilities and minimizing installation challenges. The new arrangement was designed in accordance with ergonomic considerations and offshore occupational health and safety requirements, improving personnel safety in the vicinity of the equipment. The piping system was designed in compliance with ASME B31.3 Process Piping requirements and incorporated 3000 PSI flanged connections to meet operational demands.
To verify the integrity of the proposed modification, a comprehensive structural strength assessment of the new support structure was performed. Following the successful completion of the analysis, detailed fabrication drawings, construction details, and material take-off (MTO) documentation were prepared for both the piping system and supporting steelwork. The complete engineering package was delivered to support fabrication and installation activities.
